Our Methodology
We query 4 different AI models to give you comprehensive coverage:
- GPT ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o-mini-search)
- P Perplexity (sonar-pro)
- P+ Perplexity Reasoning (sonar-reasoning-pro)
- P++ Perplexity Deep Research
For each keyword, we ask 3 different prompts designed to trigger company recommendations:
- "I need a [keyword] in the local area. What specific companies do you recommend?"
- "Which [keyword] companies have the best reputation? Please list specific business names."
- "Recommend some [keyword] providers. Give me actual company names to contact."
Total queries = 3 prompts ร your keywords ร 4 AI engines
Your visibility score (0-100%) is based on how often your brand appears:
- Full mention (100% credit): Your brand name appears in the AI's response text
- Citation mention (25% credit): Your brand appears in the AI's cited sources
- Score formula: (Weighted mentions รท Total queries) ร 100
We also detect variations of your brand name (with/without LLC, Inc, etc.)
We analyze each AI response to extract company names using:
- Pattern matching for bulleted/numbered lists
- Bold text extraction (commonly used for company names)
- Table content parsing
- Filtering out generic terms (e.g., "Company", "Agency") to show only real competitors
